Ryan to the rescue for UCD

Barry Ryan saved a penalty for the second week running as UCD earned a precious win in their quest to stay up.

Ryan, as he did against Glen Crowe of Bohs last week, brilliantly saved Trevor Molloy's 51st minute spot kick as UCD defended well to take all three points.

UCD had a dream start with the lead goal after just three minutes.

Darragh Ryan worked a one-two with Robbie Martin down the left to get to the end line and cross for John Martin to shoot home from just yards out.

Molloy shot narrowly wide while Pat Sullivan cleared off the UCD line from Shane Robinson as Rovers fought back, but to no avail.
