Aiken Promotions have announced that Sting and the Wanted will perform at this summer’s Live at the Marquee in Cork.

The former Police frontman will appear in the Rebel County on Monday, July 1, as part of his Back to Bass tour.

The Wanted are confirmed for Sunday, 16 June, as Max, Nathan, Tom, Jay and Siva enjoy success across the Atlantic with their single ‘Glad You Came’.

‘Third Strike’ the upcoming third studio Album by The Wanted is scheduled for release in March 2013.

Sting will performing many of his greatest hits, stripped down, with a 5-piece band and he joins the likes of Elvis Costello and ZZ Top for the ninth year of the renowned concert series. Elton John, The Coronas and Christy Moore make welcome returns.

Tickets for both gigs go on sale Thursday, January 31, at 9am.
