A man has been arrested after cocaine and ecstasy were found by police during a routine search of car in Tyrone.

A man has been arrested after cocaine and ecstasy were found by police during a routine search of car in Tyrone.

Police stopped the vehicle near Castlederg at about 9pm last night and recovered drugs with an estimated street value of £4,000 (€6,000).

The man, 31, was charged with possession of a class A drug with intent to supply, and was due to appear before Omagh Magistrates Court.

Meanwhile, a 48-year-old man was being questioned by drugs squad officers after a cannabis factory was discovered in Co Tyrone.

Detectives seized a substantial number of plants in the raid in Dugannon.
