Last night's winning lotto ticket was sold in Cork City.

Last night's winning lotto ticket was sold in Cork City.

The ticket is now worth over €16m, the biggest prize in the history of the National Lottery.

It was a €4 'quickpick' and was bought on Friday in Centra in Farranree

The identity of the winner or winners is as yet unknown but shop owner Barry Twomey thinks the winner is likely to be local.
