Djibril Cisse and Lilian Thuram have emerged as injury doubts for France's upcoming World Cup qualifier against Ireland this Wednesday.

Cisse, who scored twice against the Faroe Islands at the weekend, is struggling with an ankle problem, while Thuram also picked up a thigh injury during that match.

France manager Raymond Domenech was sceptical today about Thuram's chances of recovery and said it would be one or two days before Cisse's fitness could be assessed.

He also brushed aside concerns about Zinedine Zidane's calf injury, insisting it was "nothing serious".
