Jamie Osborne’s Crocodile Bay finished a disappointing sixth in the Listed Oppenheim-Rennen at Cologne in Germany today.

Jockey Shane Kelly had the youngster in a prominent position until he weakened coming into the straight in the six-and-a-half-furlong event.

Lord Huntingdon, representing connections, said: “He didn’t handle the ground. It rained so much yesterday and today in Germany.”

The Christian von der Recke-trained Vega’s Lord won the race by a short head under champion jockey Andreas Suborics.
