The ISEQ index closed up 24.29 todayat 5385.38 after a positive day for the financials.
AIB, Anglo Irish, Bank of Ireand and Irish Life & Permanent all finished up for a positive start to the week.
AIB added 2c to close at €12.85, Anglo Irish added 7c to €13.47 while Bank of Ireland added 10c to €10.84.
ILP was up 11c to close at €12.21.
Warner Chilcott's FDA approval for menopause symptom drug Femtrace has not helped the company share price this morning, after it fell by 9c to €8.87.
The company expects to launch Femtrace tablets in the first quarter of 2005.
CRH recovered from early losses to close up 10c at €18.47.
Ryanair closed down 4c after heavy trading €4.16.
