The Minister for Justice has raised question about the contents of a file relating to what is known as "the Masri affair".

The Minister for Justice has raised question about the contents of a file relating to what is known as "the Masri affair".

Michael McDowell told the Dail that the issuing of certain passports while Charles Haughey was Taoiseach was "irregular and unusual".

The file looks at the issuing of 11 passports to a businessman from the Middle East about 10 years ago.
