Pope not dead, says Vatican
The Vatican has denied Pope John Paul II is dead.
This followed reports among sections of the Italian media that the pontiff had died.
But a Vatican spokesman said tonight he was still alive.
Earlier, the Vatican said 84-year-old John Paul suffered massive heart problems and was in “very grave” condition.
