Mickey Harte's Tyrone top the NFL Division 1A standings after sharpshooter Owen Mulligan inspired them to a 1-10 to 0-09 defeat of Dublin at Omagh's Healy Park.

Mulligan pocketed a 25th-minute goal to help them on their way to a second straight win, as Dublin relied much on Tomas Quinn's place-kicking (0-04, 3f) and the strong running of midfield dynamo Ciaran Whelan - who was sin-binned late on.

It looked good for Paul Caffrey's side in the early stages as Whelan and Quinn combined to keep them in it at 0-02 to 0-04 down, with Tyrone's Mulligan, Michael Coleman, Ryan Mellon and Brian Dooher angling over points.

Mulligan's solo goal helped Harte's charges to a 1-07 to 0-02 lead at the break.

With Whelan, Quinn and second half substitute Robbie Boyle on target in the second half, the Dubs peeled back that advantage to six points. However that was as close as it got as points from Mellon and Stephen O'Neill - pointing the clinching free - saw Tyrone, who also had Coleman yellow carded, win out.

Scorers: Tyrone: O Mulligan 1-03 (0-02f), M Coleman, R Mellon 0-02 each, B Dooher, S O'Neill (0-01f), C McCullagh 0-01 each

Dublin: T Quinn 0-04 (0-03f), C Whelan 0-03, D O'Callaghan, R Boyle 0-01 each
