ASTI consider letter from Taoiseach
The ASTI has confirmed that it received a letter from the Taoiseach outlining proposals regarding pay that was docked from teachers' salaries as a result of their work to rule action before Christmas.
A spokesperson for the ASTI would not give details of the proposals, but said the contents of the letter will be considered by a standing committee.
Meanwhile the secondary teachers strike is continuing. Schools in Leinster were closed today and tomorrow Munster will be hit by the rolling strike.
