SF 'will accept any invitation to all-party forum on economy'
Sinn Féin's Dáil leader said today that he will accept an invitation to an all-party meeting on the economy.
Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin warned however that he will not be part of any consensus for further cuts on those who cannot afford them.
Mr Ó Caoláin also said that Sinn Féin do not sign up to the view the Budget deficit must be reduced to 3% of GDP by 2014 as required by the EU.
He also said that Fine Gael and Labour should not be cosying up to the Government parties.
"Coming in behind Fianna Fáil and the Greens at this point in time offering them a lifeline and a cosy consensus around all of this, in the end of the day, that is abrogating their responsibility to look after their respective constituents and the wider, greater national interest," said Mr Ó Caoláin/
