Cybill upset she missed out on TV show deal

Actress Cybill Shepherd is still bitter she missed out on a fortune when her namesake TV show became a hit - because she had hoped to buy a ranch home with the cash.

The Moonlighting star still hasn't forgiven the TV bosses who sold her show Cybill to US women's network Oxygen and refused to give her a penny.

She explains: "It was the only show in my entire life that supposedly was going to be for the rest of my life. All you have to do is go past three seasons and you're taken care of for the rest of your life, but they (TV executives) made sure there was no profit.

"I always wanted to have a ranch. I thought, all those big stars, they all have ranches in Montana and Aspen (Colorado). I didn't care so much about the house in Malibu (California) because I have a home in Memphis (Tennessee) and I have the Mississippi mud right there.

"So I say: 'Oh well, so I don't get a ranch,' but I would've liked to have had a back end (from the sale of the show). That would have been nice."
