Derry City entertain St Patrick’s Athletic in tonight’s Airtricity League Premier Division clash at the Brandywell, kick-off 7.45pm.

The Candystripes can go top of the table with a victory but they will miss influential winger James McClean who left for English side Sunderland.

Gareth McGlynn remains out injured for City as he recovers from an injury picked up in the Dublin Super Cup clash with Celtic.

St Pat's are without Gary Rogers and Shane McFaul as both players are suspended following their red cards against UCD last weekend.

Anto Murphy remains out injured, while Stephen Bradley is a doubt as he is struggling with injury.

Striker Danny North returns from suspension.

Saints boss Pete Mahon said: "We are without a number of key players this week but the team won't change too much from the UCD game.

"Every manager wants players completing for positions and we have this all over the park.

"We've played 17 games since the start of June, not including A championship games, and we have a number of midweek games in the coming weeks, so squad rotation is becoming very important in keeping players fresh and injury free."
