Education Minister Noel Dempsey has reportedly agreed to attend this year’s INTO annual conference.

Education Minister Noel Dempsey has reportedly agreed to attend this year’s INTO annual conference.

Reports this morning said the Minister had agreed to address the meeting after talks with officials from the organisation last night.

The INTO reportedly acquiesced to Mr Dempsey’s demand that a forum on the future of education be held during the conference.

Mr Dempsey said earlier this year that he would not be attending the annual conferences of the three main teaching unions – the INTO, the ASTI and the TUI – unless they changed the format of the meetings to allow more debate.
