Ireland's latest lotto millionaire today boasted she always knew she was destined to win the coveted jackpot prize.

The lucky west Cork woman pocketed more than €4m after she bought her ticket at a shop in Skibbereen, which has now sold seven Lotto and Lotto Plus jackpot tickets.

The woman and her family, who wish to remain anonymous, collected their cheque this morning in Dublin.

"I consider myself a very lucky person and have always thought I'd win the Lotto jackpot," she said.

"I've been playing Lotto since it started and regularly win prizes.

"I checked my ticket numbers on Teletext on Saturday night so I knew I had won straight away, I couldn't sleep with the excitement."

"We have no plans for our newly found wealth yet, but we'll enjoy it."
