Frank Sinclair has set his sights on being fit for next month's FA Cup semi-finals - providing the Foxes can overcome Wycombe in Saturday's sixth-round tie.
The Leicester defender is facing five to six weeks on the sidelines after damaging medial knee ligaments.
It was the latest in a series of blows for the former Chelsea player, who has also been laid low by hernia, hamstring and calf problems this season.
But Sinclair is determined to be back in contention for the last four of the FA Cup on April 7 in just over a month's time.
Sinclair said: "The target for me is the FA Cup semi-finals providing, of course, that the boys can do the business on Saturday against Wycombe.
"FA Cup semi-finals are big occasions that no-one wants to miss out on being part of.
"It's frustrating that I will be out now but I've just got to concentrate on getting myself fit as soon as possible. If we win on Saturday it will be a big incentive."
