Two women killed in road accidents in Dublin and Cork

A woman in her 70s has died after losing control of her car on a road in Co Cork last night.

A woman in her 70s has died after losing control of her car on a road in Co Cork last night.

The accident happened between Roscarberry and Leap just before 8pm.

Meanwhile, a female cyclist has died from injuries she sustained after being in collision with a truck in Dublin city centre yesterday morning.

The accident happened at the junction of Wolfe Tone Quay and Temple Street West at around 10.15am.

The 49-year-old victim died last night at St James's Hospital.
