Gardaí have arrested two men after a robbery at a post office in Co Offaly yesterday.

Gardaí have arrested two men after a robbery at a post office in Co Offaly yesterday.

Three men, two armed with handguns, raided the post office in Edenderry at about 2.30pm yesterday and made away with several thousand euro.

Two men in their 20s, both from Dublin, were arrested a short distance away and a portion of the money was recovered.
