British Prime Minister Tony Blair today pulled the plug on a planned meeting with the SDLP.

British Prime Minister Tony Blair today pulled the plug on a planned meeting with the SDLP.

Mr Blair had been due to meet a delegation headed by party leader Mark Durkan in Downing Street tomorrow.

The party was planning to put Mr Blair under fresh pressure to set up an immediate public inquiry into the murder 15 years ago of Belfast Catholic solicitor Patrick Finucane.

The meeting is to be rescheduled later in the week.
