Waterford Senior hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald has just made one change to his side for Sunday's All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship quarter-final against Galway at Semple Stadium, Thurles.

Jack Kennedy is the only player absent from the side which lost by four points to Liam Sheedy's charges.

The Ballyduff Lower clubman quit the panel in the wake of the final loss, which saw him substituted after just 27 minutes.

Shane Casey comes into the side in the full forward line with Stephen Molumphy moving to the wing.

Casey lines out at corner forward with Eoin Kelly who scored 1-07 last day out moving to full-forward.

Meanwhile there is good news for defender Noel Connors who will line out on the full back line.

There had been some doubts over his fitness after the under 21 star limped out of training on Sunday evening.

However the teenager has been passed fit to start Sunday's quarter-final.

The game will be the ninth between the sides in Championship hurling, with Waterford victorious in the previous eight encounters.

WATERFORD (SH v Galway): C Hennessy; E Murphy, D Prendergast, N Connors; T Browne, M Walsh, A Kearney; K Moran, S O'Sullivan; J Nagle, S Prendergast, S Molumphy; J Mullane, E Kelly, S Casey.
