Man beaten in Belfast baseball attack

A 19-year-old man has been treated in hospital after being beaten by a gang of six masked men armed with baseball bats, police said today.

A 19-year-old man has been treated in hospital after being beaten by a gang of six masked men armed with baseball bats, police said today.

The victim was attacked in a property in the Island Street in east Belfast after the men forced their way inside at around 3am.

He sustained cuts and bruises to his head and body.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
