Ireland's Geordan Murphy will be out for 3-4 months following surgery from a dislocated shoulder.

Ireland's Geordan Murphy will be out for 3-4 months following surgery from a dislocated shoulder.

"We will obviously miss Geordan Murphy massively," said Leicester centre Anthony Allen.

"He is our captain for starters, and he is a very influential player in the team who is well respected by everyone.

"We have other players in the back three who will have to step up and try to take over what he did for the team."
