Children will be able to travel for free on Child Leap Cards for two weeks at the end of July and beginning of August.

There's good news for children who have Leap cards

Children will be able to travel for free on Child Leap Cards for two weeks at the end of July and beginning of August.

The free travel period, from July 25 to August 7, will apply to all Child Leap Card holders aged between four and 18.

The free scheme will be available on Bus Eireann, Irish Rail's Commuter Rail services, and all Dublin Bus, Luas services and DART services.

The announcement was made earlier today by the Transport Minister Shane Ross, and the CEO of the National Transport Authority Anne Graham.
