Scotland Yard is examining the entire Nurofen Plus production chain after anti-psychotic drugs were found in a number of packets of the painkillers in the UK.

Scotland Yard is examining the entire Nurofen Plus production chain after anti-psychotic drugs were found in a number of packets of the painkillers in the UK.

The company has said the packets were tampered with deliberately and a full investigation is underway.

The Irish Medicines Board has recalled boxes of the drugs from wholesalers in the Republic of Ireland and pharmacists are being asked to check every packet on shop shelves.
