Kildare football star Dermot Earley has suffered yet another injury setback that will keep him sidelined for a number of weeks.

Kildare football star Dermot Earley has suffered yet another injury setback that will keep him sidelined for a number of weeks.

The brilliant Lilywhites midfielder aggravated an old hand injury playing in a colleges game and will definitely miss the county's NFL opener against Derry on Sunday week.

Earley said: "I was really looking forward to the Derry game but I'll have to sit it out. We'll see how things go after that but I don't expect any long term problems with it."
