Gardaí in Co Limerick are searching for a young man who went missing in Abbeyfeale at the weekend.
Ricky Loughnane, aged 18, from Dromtrasna had been out socialising in Abbeyfeale on Saturday night.
He was last seen walking near Meanheala Creamery on the road to Tournafulla at around 4am on Sunday morning.
Gardaí said he had walked past his house by at least a quarter of a mile when the last sighting was reported.
Gardaí from Abbeyfeale and Newcastlewest were joined in the search for the missing teenager today by dozens of local people.
The Shannon-based Air/Sea Rescue Helicopter was also involved in today's search, which was concentrated around Meanheala Creamery some four miles from Abbeyfeale.
A garda spokesman has appealed to anyone with information on the missing teenager’s whereabouts to come forward.
“We are open to any suggestions and if anyone knows where Ricky is we would ask them to contact us immediately. He was just an ordinary young fellow who had been enjoying a Saturday night in town,” said a garda spokesman.
