Gardai name 18-year-old victim of stabbing

The 18-year-old man who died from stab wounds last night in Dublin has been named as John Durren.

The 18-year-old man who died from stab wounds last night in Dublin has been named as John Durren.

The teenager was killed when a drunken row broke out over what kind of music should be played over the stereo at a party.

Mr Durren was taken to Beaumont Hospital after the incident but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Gardai are currently questioning a 17-year-old youth, who they arrested soon after the incident was reported, in relation to the death.
