Star-gazers are expected to be out in force across the country today to view a partial eclipse of the sun.
The moon will cover up to one-third of the sun between 9.30am and 11am this morning.
Astronomy Ireland is holding five "eclipse watches" across the country where members of the public can view the event safely.
One is being held in Dublin's Phoenix Park and other others in Carlow, Clare, Donegal and Wexford.
