Sakhee is reported to be in good shape by trainer Saeed bin Suroor.
The five-year-old, top-rated older horse in Europe last year, has been limited to just one European outing this season after suffering from knee problems.
Sakhee made his reappearance in a Group Three event in France but he could only manage a second place behind Wellbeing.
He has been off the track since that run in August but bin Suroor reports the horse, who is set to be retired to stud at the end of the season, is in good order.
The trainer told Channel 4 Racing: “He worked yesterday (Thursday) with a lead horse and he‘s doing very well. The last two days he has been a different horse. We have to give him time.”
The son of Bahri could still bid to repeat his impressive victory in the Prix de l‘Arc de Triomphe but his handler hinted that a trip to Newmarket for the Emirates Airlines Champion Stakes.
“He‘s still in the race but I think I would like to run him in the Champion Stakes,” added bin Suroor.
