Turnbell prays for Bible entry

Andy Turnell hopes Bible Lord makes the cut for the Racing Post Plate at Cheltenham on Thursday week.

Andy Turnell hopes Bible Lord makes the cut for the Racing Post Plate at Cheltenham on Thursday week.

The seven-year-old needs several horses to come out in order to make the maximum 24-strong field in the handicap chase over two miles and five furlongs.

Punters have faith in Bible Lord, who is 10-1 second favourite after being allotted 10st 8lb.

He put disappointing runs in the Hennessy at Newbury and at Kempton in December behind him when winning at Exeter three weeks ago.

“He’s a definite runner if he gets in,” said the Swindon trainer.

“He was wrong when he ran over Christmas. A lot of my horses were off-colour around December-January time.

“Everything’s running respectably again now as I expect them to, so I hope we are over all that now.”
