Exploration firm Kenmare Resources plc has completed the dismantling of its mineral separation plant at Beenup in Western Australia.
The plant was initially purchased from BHP for use at the Moma Titanium Minerals Project in Mozambique.
Kenmare has begun the transportation of the plant to the port of Bunbury for onward transport to Mozambique.
This is due to be completed shortly.
The company is also at an advanced stage in its negotiations with an unnamed contractor for the full development contract on the Moma Project.
Kenmare expects to be able to sign the contract early in the first quarter of 2004. Financing of the project is also progressing well, the company said in a statement issued today.
Kenmare expects to unveil the project's financiers after the fixed price development contract has been completed.
Kenmare Resources plc is quoted on the official lists of the Irish and London Stock Exchanges.
The principal activities of the Group are the exploration for commercial deposits of natural
resources and the development and operation of mines.
