Govt receives 13 offers to build airport terminal

The Government has received expressions of interest from 13 business consortia to build a new private terminal at Dublin Airport, according to reports this morning.

The Government has received expressions of interest from 13 business consortia to build a new private terminal at Dublin Airport, according to reports this morning.

Ryanair has reportedly offered to construct a €116m terminal capable of serving 10 million passengers each year, while Air France, construction firm Ascon and Des and Ulick McEvaddy have also submitted proposals.

Aer Lingus has apparently not made any offer, but is believed to be in talks with three of the bidders with a view to joining one of the consortia.
