Man in court charged with woman's murder

A 48-year-old man was appearing in court today, charged with the murder of a woman in east Belfast.

A 48-year-old man was appearing in court today, charged with the murder of a woman in east Belfast.

The man is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court accused of killing Nellie Cowan, 51, last September.

Ms Cowan’s body was found at a house in Woodstock Road.

The man is the second person to be charged with the murder.

Three men were arrested soon after the killing and a 43-year-old was charged with the murder.
