The various political parties are holding their final press events today ahead of Thursday's general election.

The traditional pre-vote moratorium on broadcast coverage comes into force at midnight, giving the electorate 24 hours to reflect on the campaign before deciding which parties to support.

Fianna Fáil is expected to use its last press conference to reiterate its claim that the proposals of the alternative coalition do not add up.

Fine Gael will be focusing on health, while the Labour Party is expected to urge voters to opt for change.

Elsewhere, the PDs are holding a press conference next to a LUAS line in Dublin, while the Greens are holding a photocall to emphasise the power of one vote and Sinn Féin are expected to reiterate their message about equality and rights.

Bertie Ahern, Pat Rabbitte, Trevor Sargent and Gerry Adams will all be canvassing in Dublin today, while Enda Kenny will be in Munster.
