Police in Tenerife are today questioning a man about the murder of a woman, believed to be originally from Belfast.

Police in Tenerife are today questioning a man about the murder of a woman, believed to be originally from Belfast.

The body of the victim, who had been stabbed, was discovered at an apartment in Los Cristianos, a resort town on the south of the island, according to Spanish media.

The British Foreign Office last night refused to disclose any details until the next of kin had been informed.
