Paul Greengrass, the award-winning director of Bloody Sunday, is preparing to shoot a film about the last days of rock-legend Jimi Hendrix.
According to Screen Daily, the film called Cross Town Traffic, will be written by Oliver Parker and produced by Number 9 Films’ Elizabeth Karlsen who made the movie Little Voice.
The project, which is still in the early stages of development, is being backed by £94,000 of funding from the UK Film Council’s Development Fund.
And according to The Film Council, the script will try to unravel the mystery of Hendrix’s last days in London before the guitarist’s death in September 1970 at the age of just 27.
The Film Council’s Development Fund is also investing in writer Meera Syal’s latest untitled project, which gets £101,500 in funding.
