The name of a man who died in a road accident in Athenry has been released.

The name of a man who died in a road accident in Athenry has been released.

41-year-old Joseph Murphy from Kiltulla died after being hit by a car in County Galway early this morning.

Mr Murphy was struck by a vehicle while walking along a road in Athenry at 1.20am.
