Gardai at Tallaght are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run accident which occured yesterday afternoon.

Gardai at Tallaght are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run accident which occurred yesterday afternoon.

A four-year-old girl was seriously injured when she was struck by a car while out walking with her mother at Kiltalown Way in Jobstown.

She was taken to Tallaght Hospital and later transferred to Crumlin Children's Hospital.

A red Ford Fiesta with a 96 CW registration number is being sought in connection with the incident.
