Customs officers near Castleblayney in Co Monaghan have discovered an oil laundry, tanker and 50,000 litres of oil.

Customs officers near Castleblayney in Co Monaghan have discovered an oil laundry, tanker and 50,000 litres of oil.

The plant had the capacity to launder up to 50,000 litres of diesel per week with a potential annual loss to the State of €780,000.

A man has been arrested and is being questioned by gardaí in connection with the find.
