The pro-life organisation, ‘Doctors for Life’ has called for a yes vote in the up-coming referendum on abortion.

A spokeperson for the group said that the referendum will provide ‘legislative protection to the best elements of current medical practice’.

The group also stated that the rejection of the proposed amendment in next month’s vote would risk reopardising the care of ill mothers and will do nothing to protect their babies.
