Seven changes for Kerry
The depth of talent in the current Kerry panel is highlighted by the fact that manager Jack O'Connor has made seven personnel changes for this weekend's Allianz Football League Division 1 semi-final.
O'Connor's men drew 1-12 to 1-12 with Mayo last time out and face the Connacht champions again at Croke Park on Sunday afternoon (throw-in 2pm).
Promoted from the substitutes bench are goalkeeper Brendan Kealy, defenders Marc Ó Sé and Aidan O'Mahony, midfielder Anthony Maher and forwards Paul Galvin, Darran O'Sullivan and Declan O'Sullivan.
Ó Sé, Galvin and the O'Sullivans did see action in the second half of last weekend's clash in Tralee, with Eoin Brosnan, Barry John Keane, Johnny Buckley and Kieran O'Leary among the players to make way this time around.
Austin Stacks clubman Daniel Bohan also makes a welcome return to the matchday panel for the first time since he sustained a knee injury against Donegal in early March.
Previewing Kerry's return to GAA headquarters, midfielder Bryan Sheehan told the Kerryman newspaper: "We knew before (last week's game) that it was a possibility that we could get Mayo again and that's the way it has worked out.
"Mayo always produce good teams, they're a fit side and they play to a good system. They are quality footballers. You saw up in Castlebar against Dublin what they can do when you let them play football.
"Winning is a great habit to get into and it's great to get into that winning mentality. We spoke about it before the game that we don't want to lose matches, regardless of who we are playing. Even though we were already through I thought we showed very good fighting spirit (to get the draw), which is a positive to take forward."
The Kingdom, who topped the table with five wins, a draw and a defeat, are bidding to reach the Division 1 decider for the first time since 2009 when they last won the title.
