Afsoun will warm up for a tilt at the JCB Triumph Hurdle when tackling the Betfred Chatteris Fen Juvenile Novices’ Hurdle at Huntingdon tomorrow.

Owned by the Million In Mind Partnership, Afsoun was a useful performer on the level in France for Alain De Royer Dupre and shot to prominence with a victory over Turko at Cheltenham in December.

Currently trading at around the 7-1 mark for the Festival, the four-year-old has not raced since winning in December and heads to Huntingdon following the abandonment of Cheltenham at the end of last month.

His nine rivals include Prize Fighter, recently disqualified when jockeys Noel Fehily and Rodi Greene took the wrong course, and two-time winner Kalmini, who makes a quick reappearance after falling at Sandown on Saturday.
