Trevor Sinclair, who was forced out of England’s opening Euro 2004 qualifiers with a badly bruised toe, has recovered and will play for West Ham at Sunderland tomorrow.

Sinclair had two days off with his wife following the birth of their third son this week but reported back in time to fly north this afternoon.

Manager Glenn Roeder will make a late decision on strikers Frederic Kanoute and Jermain Defoe after groin injuries.

Kanoute was injured in the 3-2 win at Chelsea while Defoe missed the England Under-21 victories over Slovakia and Macedonia. “I’m hoping they will both be fit,” said Roeder.

Team (from): James, Schemmel, Pearce, Repka, Dailly, Breen, Minto, Winterburn, Lomas, Cole, Carrick, Sinclair, Di Canio, Kanoute, Defoe, Cisse, Labant, Camara, Courtois, van der Gouw.
