Champion jockey Kieren Fallon expects to be passed fit to ride at Newmarket today after giving up his last two rides following an injury sustained there yesterday.
Fallon banged his left arm on leaving the stalls on Hufflepuff in the Bentinck Stakes and, although he took his ride in the following race, he was forced to miss the last two contests.
He received a red entry in his medical book and must therefore be passed fit by the racecourse doctor before he can ride.
Fallon received treatment from a physiotherapist at the track, after which he said: "I’ve had some physio and I should be all right for tomorrow."
Fallon’s mounts on Saturday include Carnival Dancer in the Emirates Airline Champion Stakes, and Desert Star in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes, while he partners Riyadh, on whom he won the Ascot Stakes in June, in the Tote Cesarewitch.
