Richard Dunne has been called back into the Irish international fold.

The Manchester City defender has been recalled by manager Brian Kerr for Wednesday's friendly against Norway.

Dunne replaces Andy O'Brien of Newcastle, who is ruled out with a broken nose.

With Gary Doherty also out, and doubts over the fitness of Manchester United starlet John O'Shea and skipper Kenny Cunningham, Dunne now gets a chance to pit his wits against the Norwegian strike force of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Tore Andre Flo and John Carew.
