Authorities at Mountjoy jail have confirmed that jailed TD Liam Lawlor left the prison at 2.20pm.

Authorities at Mountjoy jail have confirmed that jailed TD Liam Lawlor left the prison at 2.20pm.

A convoy of three vans left the prison's main gate and Deputy Lawlor is believed to have been in the middle vehicle.

Deputy Lawlor was jailed by the High Court one week ago for contempt of court due to his refusal to co-operate fully with the Flood Tribunal.
