Ogra Sinn Fein believe young people not in favour

Ogra Sinn Fein says the Government is wrong if it believes young people are in favour of the Nice Treaty.

Ogra Sinn Fein says the Government is wrong if it believes young people are in favour of the Nice Treaty.

It also says, while the holding of the vote on a Saturday is a welcome development, it will not mean the referendum is passed.

Launching Ogra Sinn Fein’s campaign for a 'no' vote, Councillor Matt Carthy stated that the Government is misinformed if it’s confident of young people overwhelmingly voting in favour.

“The Government are very wrong if they feel the Government are going to save this campaign for them. We are confident the young people of Ireland will overwhelmingly vote no on the 19th of October.

"Any delusions that anyone else has that Ireland's youth care less than the rest of the population about democracy, neutrality or independence have been misinformed to say the least."
