SIPTU members at Vita Cortex have voted unanimously to accept proposals aimed at bringing their 139-day dispute with the company over redundancy payments to an end.
The package has been agreed between the company, its shareholders and worker representatives and its details are strictly confidential to the parties involved.
It is understood the proposals provide the basis for the full and final settlement of the dispute and provide for secure, equitable and fair redundancy payments.
SIPTU manufacturing division organiser Gerry McCormack said that the workers are satisfied with the outcome of the talks today.
"It brings, hopefully, the dispute to a conclusion, there's still a number of weeks left because the terms of it need to be applied, and that'll take about two weeks," he said.
"There was a direct discussion which took place today between SIPTU and the management, and out of that, a set of proposals, as I say, were … tonight unanimously accepted."
