Plan to build €50m Louth private hospital launched

A group led by a local doctor has confirmed plans to build a 50-bed private hospital in Dundalk, Co Louth.

A group led by a local doctor has confirmed plans to build a 50-bed private hospital in Dundalk, Co Louth.

200 people are expected to be employed at the €50m hospital, which will include a theatre block and 20 consulting rooms.

Construction is due to begin early next year. The group behind the plan, led by Dr Mary Grehan, said it is currently examining a number of potential sites for the hospital.
